Install (Mac, Windows, Web)

Install the desktop app or run the web version.

macOS (Apple Silicon)

  1. Download the .dmg from the Download page.
  2. Open it and drag Hanouti to Applications.
  3. First launch: while the app is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID, macOS will refuse a double-click. Right-click Hanouti, choose Open, then Open again. If macOS still blocks it, run in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Hanouti.app.

Requires macOS 12 or newer on an Apple Silicon Mac.

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

  1. Download the -setup.exe installer and run it.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. This appears while the installer is not yet code-signed.
  3. Follow the installer, then start Hanouti from the Start menu.
Always compare the SHA-256 of the file with the value on the Download page before running it.

Where your data lives

The database, backups and logs are kept in your user-data folder (on macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/hanouti). It survives updates and uninstalling.

Web version

Hanouti also runs on your own server (nginx + PHP-FPM, SQLite or MySQL) and is used from any browser on your network. Each browser terminal is registered as a machine and approved with the owner's PIN. Server setup is done by your installer or by Dzairverse support; see Support.
