Getting started
What Hanouti is, and your first hour with it.
Hanouti (حانوتي) is a point-of-sale, repair-workshop, stock and invoicing suite built for Algerian shops. It runs as a desktop app (macOS and Windows) or as a web app on your own server, in English, French and Arabic (right-to-left), and keeps selling when the internet is down.
Hanouti is sold under licence by Dzairverse Ltd. One licence allows a number of machines (1, 3, 10 or custom, depending on the plan).
The 6-step path
- Install the app on the shop computer.
- Run the first-run wizard: shop identity (NIF, NIS, RC, AI), language, owner account.
- Activate your licence with the key you received.
- Add your products and prices (Back-office, Catalogue), or import a CSV.
- Open a cash session and make a test sale with the cashier screen.
- Plug in your printer and print the test page.
The three places you will work in
| Place | Address | For |
|---|---|---|
| Cashier | /pos | Selling, returns, holding tickets, closing the till |
| Repair desk | /repair | Intake, diagnosis, parts, invoice, handover |
| Back-office | /admin | Catalogue, stock, documents, customers, reports, settings |
In the desktop app the same screens are reached from the menu (Sales, Point of sale, Back-office) or with the shortcuts Cmd/Ctrl+1 and Cmd/Ctrl+2.
Good to know
- Money is stored exactly, in centimes. No rounding drift between the screen and the printed document.
- A finalised invoice cannot be edited. You correct it with a credit note, as the accounting rules expect.
- Your data stays on your machine. See Security and privacy.
